WolfWalkers Bluray Covers
Bluray cover I designed for WolfWalkers
The first thing I done for this assignment was read the brief that had been set by the client.
From the brief I found out that I was creating two bluray cover designs for a new animated film on Apple TV called WolfWalkers
Research for the bluray covers
The next thing I done was some research, I started with Tomm Moore who is the leading animator in the film.
I found out that he co produced the TV show Skunk Fu, co-directed a segment of the film The Prophet and also co directed the Academy nominated film The Secret Garden of Kells.
He also produce the film Song of The Sea which was also nominated for an Academy award.
I then done some research about the actual film, i found out that it is about a young apprentice who travels to Ireland with her father to wipe out the last wolf pack, the girl becomes friends with another girl who is in a tribe that become wolves when it becomes night time. The original girl later discovers that she too can become a wolf, and has become the thing they set out to destroy.
The third bit of research I done was some existing promotional material about WolfWalkers, I found posters and puzzles along with clothing and books.
The final bit of research I done was about bluray covers, I looked at previous covers and also the size of them so that I could create the right size document.

Finally, I designed these bluray covers for the film. With the first one, I chose to give it a background between the trees, i added a branch over the cover at the bottom and made the two girls sit opposite each other, I then added a wolf jumping through the middle of them as this will portray what they both become. I used a pre existing design for the title of the film and then added some leaves falling in the background. Finally i added a quote "awaken your magic" which is a line in the movie trailer.
With the second one I gave it the same background
